Calling all Ghouls, Goblins, Ghosts and Adorable Pets!

We are very excited to announce that we will kick off this year’s Great Amherst Street Party with our first costume parade.

The Great Amherst Costume parade will begin in the parking lot of the YMCA at 12:45 p.m. and proceed down Church Street, ending at the cenotaph in Victoria Square at 1 p.m., starting the street party! Costumes are required.

This is a walking parade (with walking aids as required, of course), but no vehicles or floats. The parade is for all ages and pets are welcome. If your pet is in costume you don’t have to be. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

There will be prizes for Best Costume in the following categories:

  • 12 and under
  • Teen (13-19)
  • Adult (20 and up)
  • Pet

You must register by end of day Wednesday, Oct. 21 to be in the parade.

We hope to see a lot of you out showing off your costumes and bringing the spooky to Esther Fest!
