Celebrating Canada’s
Greatest Ghost Story
And that means…it’s almost time for Esther Fest 2026!
Here it is: Esther Fest 2026! The Festival has been growing in leaps and bounds every year since 2023 and we’re thrilled to be adding more new events this year. In addition to the return of old favourites like our Ghost Investigations, The Great Amherst Street Party, the Psychic Fair, The Witch Dance, and our Ghost Walks, this year we have:
- the screening of a new documentary about The Great Amherst Mystery
- a Victorian Seance
- a new play about Helen Creighton, the author of Bluenose Ghosts
- a pub crawl with Esther Cox
- a witchy dance lesson and more!!!
There are still a few events in the planning stages that we’ll be adding over the coming days, so please follow our Esther Fest page on Facebook and be sure to check back here.
Some tickets are on sale now, but for the events that have limited availability we’re holding off a few days so you have a chance to plan with friends and get in as soon as they go on sale. See the individual events for ticketing information.
We’re looking forward to getting spooky with you at Esther Fest 2026!
Check out our full list of events HERE.
We have offered some free events and tried to keep prices comparatively low so Esther Fest is accessible to everyone. We may be able to offer a few free tickets to some events for those with financial challenges. Contact us for details.
If you’re visiting Amherst a number of our local hotels often offer deals to people coming for Esther Fest. We’ll be working on that over the coming days and will post more information about it by Sept. 21.
We look forward to seeing you at Esther Fest over the coming weeks!
